Stage I: Technical Phase

VESS I: “The Power of Making Thinking Visible”

Estimated Time: 6 Months.

This first stage consists of exploration and reflection in practice. It is the stage in which the strategies are implemented in a technical way.

Stage II: Discover Objectives

“VESS I Face-to-face Coaching”

Estimated Time: 6 Months.

At this stage it is the beginning of a learning process through practice; teams are formed, and the dialogue is opened to what is and what should be a part of the institution.

Stage III: Strategic Phase

VESS II – Transcends – “Sustainable Cultures of Thinking”

Estimated Time: 6 Months.

Stage III seeks greater understanding of the process of building a VESS Culture of Thinking by going beyond the use of strategies as activities, aiming for a clear purpose.

Stage IV: Consolidation Phase

“VESS II Face-to-face Coaching”

Estimated Time: 6 Months.

Stage IV seeks to demonstrate greater depth in the construction of a Culture of Thinking, the management of basic skills, and the recognition of the benefits and/or the impact that being part of this context has on the entire educational community.

Stage V: Depth Phase

VESS III: Looking Deeply to Think Deeply

Estimated Time: 6 Months.

Stage V is about discovering the complexity of a VESS Culture of Thinking.

Stage VI: Holistic Phase

“VESS IV: Intrinsic Motivation, Well-being and Learning”

Estimated Time: 6 Months to 1 year

Stage VI consists of demonstrating intermediate and advanced-level skills of the principles and strategies in the VESS Model. This process is characterized by reflection in action.

Phase VII: Cultural Sustainability

Face-to-face Coaching
“VESS V: Evaluation; From Learning to Action”

Estimated Time: 6 Months to 1 year

This Phase is the final implementation of the VESS Model and a VESS Culture of Thinking, where there is the autonomous and creative management of skills, and the independence of the institution to make institutional change sustainable.

Stage VIII: Self-evaluation Phase

Estimated Time: 1 year

Stage VIII is the moment of institutional evaluation to assess the achievement of change towards a Culture of Thinking, and the projection towards a process of continuous improvement. At this stage the institution is part of the VESS Accreditation process as it seeks institutional accreditation and recognition of the achievements and opportunities that make a sustainable culture, and to build the projection of the institution’s future.
