About Us
Edu1st is a pioneering and cutting-edge organization founded in the United States. With integrity and passion, we seek to transform education by promoting sustainable Cultures of Thinking within schools and the community at large. To achieve this, Edu1st developed the VESS Model, (an acronym for “Vida Equilibrada con Sentido y Sabiduría” or “Meaningful Life with Balance and Wisdom”), a thinking-based bilingual and international pedagogical framework endorsed by the Institute of Neurosciences of the University of Barcelona. VESS is being used in over 120 educational institutions worldwide.

VESS helps to develop individuals who lead meaningful lives with balance and wisdom. This model aims to go beyond the classroom and transform societies by consolidating a lasting Culture of Thinking.

VESS was created and tested by Edu1st and endorsed by the University of Barcelona. VESS is currently used in more than 120 schools on three continents. VESS uses research, innovation, and best practices to enhance education, learning, and students’ development.

The VESS Platform is a digital tool for connecting, sharing, learning, accessing documents, interactive resources and working collaboratively. The VESS Platform provides members of the VESS International Network with assistance and support as they implement the strategies and tools used to establish a VESS Culture of Thinking in their institutions.
